Herbalists, alchemists, craftspeople and artists of all kinds, wildly talented, deeply intelligent and, on occasion, just plain odd, the presenters and the participants at the Good Medicine Confluence represent a frontier of human understanding and experience. You won’t find a more inspiring gathering of healers and craftspeople than this one, no where else can you share your latest recipe for absinthe, refine your salve, lotion, and cream preparations, compare notes on meads, oxymels, and acetracts, and then talk about crucible steel, astrologically informed spagyrics or wild foraging your next meal… here is the most uniquely diverse gathering of incredible human talent that you will see anywhere. Come and have your eyes opened to a wide world of wonder that you only dreamed possible.”

Once Upon a Time a wondrous assortment of impassioned plant healers and innovative medicine makers, alchemists and visionaries, caring culture-shifters and glad misfits made a commitment to gather together –– heeding what is truly a shared calling.

We Invite You on a magical as well as practical quest to learn new skills, exploring new approaches as well as ancient traditions, dancing to tribal beats beneath the Summer stars, networking with new friends and allies, and deepening your personal connection to the herbs themselves –– this July in the green blanketed mountains of wild Southwest Colorado.

“The Confluence is intimate, inspiring, and path-affirming, and a growth experience for me as I gather with so many wonderful humans, learn so many a things, and return home fueled for more.  Thanks to Wolf and Kiva for holding space for all of us hippie, anarchist, neurodivergent, introverted, extraverted, fairy, alchemist, etcetera-spirited beings – the keepers of tradition and of community.  The world wouldn't be the same without this important work.”

–Jessicka Nebesni

We each have the powers to set our intentions and to find our ways ahead on our unique individual paths, choosing to courageously step through that fabled portal leading to nature’s enchanted forest of healing and re-becoming… and in this way, directing and coauthoring our personal unfolding stories.

For this 14th Annual event we’re retuning to a previous beloved site nesting high above the small Colorado town of Durango, featuring as it does famously breathtaking mountain views, and with the very inexpensive lodging and nearby forested campsites needed by the treasured low-income members of our plant healer tribe.

For 4 incredible days and nights you will be blessed with your choice of over 100 information-filled presentations and hands-on workshops, all while experiencing an empowering and transformative journey like none other –– the furthering of your blossoming abilities and chosen practices, a heartful healing quest, and thus a truly powerful tale to tell!

“Monumental! The venue is perfect, the teachers the best in the world.  However, all of that awesomeness pales in comparison to the sense of community Kiva and Wolf have created.  Going to Plant Healer events is like coming home to a place that you didn't even realize you were nostalgic for.”

                       –Thomas Easley

Young people are a vital component of a healthy family and community, and they’re essential ingredients of the Good Medicine Confluence mix.  If at all possible we hope you will bring your kids so they can enjoy the experience with you and learn about and celebrate  the incredible world of plants.

Tickets for ages 12 to 18 are only $99 for the entire event, and kids 11 yrs and younger are totally free!

Our daughter Inga is doing an incredible job helping with Confluence correspondence,  and my other adult daughter Rain will be on site organizing and managing the wonder-filled
Kid’s Village classes and activities.  We’ve rented an indoor room near the Healer’s Market for this purpose, along with a tent outside on the lawn for taking groups.  Your eager offspring can enjoy herb classes and plant walks, craft making and drawing, singalongs, movement and more!   If you are interested in informal cooperative childcare for the youngest of them, there will be a signup sheet  for parents to arrange times.

Join with your kindred plant healers in an unfurling of new ideas and ventures, connections and friendships –– a vastly diverse and widely dispersed clan of clinicians, activists, alchemists, artisans and home medicine makers, including those working outside the limits of officialdom, cliques and norms, and who hold close to those fellow edge dwellers and visionaries they sense are  their “people.”

“I saw misfits, star gazers and romancers of science. I saw plant gatherers, witches, philosophers, and fairies. I saw childlike wisdom that every answer has infinite questions and there is magic in the trees and all that surrounds us. I saw the essence of beauty, defying description. I saw basket weavers, revolutionaries, healers and spirits. I saw love true and unfiltered. And i saw hope, vulnerable but without fear.”

–Greg Alston

Whether you can make it to the 2024 Good Medicine Confluence gathering or not, know that we’re together ––  together in what is a living confluence of interests and values, plants and pleasures, a shared need to better the world and an insistent calling to heal.

Together we’re doing the vital work of becoming our most authentic selves, heeding our calling, following our hearts, and allying with the plants –– equipping and empowering ourselves to do the good work, the work of not only healing bodies but of helping to shift the culture from one of unhealthy acrimony, imbalance and dis-ease to one of wholeness and balance, relationship and responsibility, caring purpose and meaningful roles.

Shifted in the process, is ourselves –– from helplessness or meaninglessness to deepened understandings, real-world manifestation, healing results, personal fulfillment and unstoppable joy!

“The mythic Confluence is a gathering of diverse teachers and skills, an invocation of ancient and resurfacing traditions — a wild, wide and expansive invitation to re-imagine the worlds in which we all live.  At the core of this event: Change, find yourself, honor the diverse and healing being that you are, and seek out the transformation you alone can carry into this waiting world.”

                              –Asia Suler

Kiva Rose and I send you our strongly felt encouragements and usable support, for wherever you are, you are an essential ingredient in the much needed Good Medicine.

And it’s so good to have you with us.
